Job Description

Unscheduled AM/PM CA RN license CPR/BLS Job Summary: *This position is located at the Heart & Surgical Hospital in Redlands, CA* The Clinical Nurse B, Perianesthesia Services, performs the nursing process with minimal supervision; seeks assistance as necessary. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in applying the nursing process to the provision of age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient care. Functions in a skills mix environment and directly supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff. Follows medical center policies, protocols, techniques, and guidelines; meets qualifications, licensure/certifications, and competencies as defined in the unit/department-specific Plan for Providing Care. Applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in area of specialty. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism, Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed. Orientation period may be 8 hour shifts and then transition to 10 or 12 hour shifts upon completion of orientation. Job Specifications: Completion of Registered Nursing (RN) program required. Three years experience in perioperative area required. Completion of required orientation for Shift Coordinator responsibilities as applicable. Active California RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Other licensure/certification as specified in the unit/department specific Plan for Providing Care. Able to lift up to 50lbs to the waist. **This position can be upgraded to a Clinical Nurse C** *HJ* HJBB *MH*BB *SH*BB
